Learning Circle Participants
Launched in 2007, NCWIT’s Extension Services (ES) program was established to provide high-touch consultative and evidence-based services to NCWIT’s higher education institutional members with the NCWIT System Models being the longstanding foundation of this work. ES was initially offered in a one-on-one format, with each institution assigned an individual research scientist or consultant to work with their computing program. In 2017, ES began offering a Learning Circle format, bringing together representatives of computing programs across different institutions that were working on similar problems into small, peer-based groups.
In 2022, the ES program merged with NCWIT’s Higher Ed Alliance under the banner of Higher Ed Initiatives to more seamlessly provide services to NCWIT’s higher education institutional members with Learning Circles becoming the preferred delivery method.
