Project Scientist and Curriculum Specialist

Ellen Sukovich Parrish is a Project Scientist and Curriculum Specialist for Teach Engineering. Ellen uses her scientific training and background to help authors develop high-quality, hands-on K-12 STEM resources.

Prior to transitioning to STEM curriculum development, Ellen was an atmospheric scientist for 11 years with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on orographic precipitation and forecast verification.

Ellen earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Carleton College and master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington. She has coauthored multiple scientific articles, and she is also a published children’s book author.
