Pat Yongpradit is the General Manager of Global Education and Workforce Policy for Microsoft, where he leads AI literacy, responsible AI in education, and future of work initiatives. As the former Chief Academic Officer for Code.org, his work has spanned curriculum and professional learning, school outreach, policy and government affairs, and international development. But in his heart, he remains a teacher. Before becoming a global thought leader, he taught for 13 years, inspiring students to create mobile games and apps for social causes and broadening participation in computer science among underrepresented groups. He is featured in the book, “American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom,” and has been recognized as a 2010 Microsoft Worldwide Innovative Educator. He has earned certifications in biology, physics, math, health, and technology education. Although Pat currently spends most of his time in policy conversations, he still finds ways to sneak into the classroom
