Areas of Expertise: Qualitative methods, organizational communication, career perceptions, and gendered socialization.

Dr. Rebecca Dohrman is Assistant Professor of Communication at Maryville University in St. Louis. Dr. Dohrman received her B.A. and her M.A. from St. Louis University, and her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Purdue University in 2010. Dohrman has been an Extension Services Consultant for NCWIT since 2009, working with a range of universities using the extension services model for developing recruitment and retention plans using research-based strategies. Her teaching and research interests focus on how organizations incorporate emerging technologies into work lives and organizational public relations and how organizations and industries in STEM can recruit more women to study and pursue careers in these fields.
