Over the next several months, NCWIT will continue to announce technical training opportunities for women in Alabama and Michigan. The training opportunities will be paid for through the Digital Skills grant at no cost to the participant. The training courses are based on data from Regional Tech Industry leaders, which identified key skills needed for technical employment in the area, and the Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Needs Assessment Survey, which provided input on the types of courses that would be useful for women in the computing field. Courses may include Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, UX/ UI, and Project Management; more are anticipated for the future.
