Extension Services One-on-One Consulting involves pairing clients with Extension Services Consultants (ESCs) to provide computing departments with guidance on the following:
Consultants conduct a site visit and meet periodically with the department’s team of change leaders to create a customized strategic recruitment and retention plan, discuss challenges, and track progress. Their work with clients is aligned with the Undergraduate Systemic Change Model. Visit the ESC Biography Webpage to learn about each of the current ESCs.
The One-on-One Consulting periods are set for either one or two years, depending on guidelines set by the sponsor.
More than 100 computing departments have worked with Extension Services to develop strategic plans for change. Let us know if you would like to be considered for a future funding cohort. Academic departments are also invited to find funding within their own institution or from a corporate sponsor for this consultation model. Email the ES Program at [email protected] for more information.
For meeting the One-on-One Client Expectations, participating departments will receive:
Extension Services serves as a program provider option for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) program.
