NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Recognitions Coordinator

As the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Recognitions Coordinator, Zoë sources and procures award prize package items for award recipients (4000 women, genderqueer and nonbinary recipients annually), supports the Recognitions program processes and program growth, and manages the helpdesk.

Zoë earned her BS in Human Rehabilitative Services and MS degree in Organizational Leadership at Regis University.  As the first in her family to earn a bachelor’s degree, Zoë strongly valued education but went into it blindly and had to quickly learn how to navigate the culture of higher education.  This led to her career guiding, supporting and advocating for special population college students for over 15 years at the Community College of Denver, CU-Boulder and CCCOnline.

Areas of experience and interest include cultural competence, equity in education, community building and mindfulness. Zoë keeps busy creating, cooking, meditating and planning trips!  She is the parent of three awesome teenagers and has an amazing partner.  Born and raised in Boulder, her parents and sister are still in town and they spend a lot of time together.
