NCWIT Aspirations Regional Affiliate Manager (RAM)

As a Regional Affiliate Manager for the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award, Susie supports both the Aspirations staff and volunteer affiliate teams in recognizing young women and their educators. Prior to NCWIT, Susie worked in the tech industry as a project manager in the bay area for Excite@Home and AltaVista and then at Martha Stewart Omnimedia in New York City. Upon moving to Boulder, CO, she worked on the CU Boulder campus as a counselor at the Cultural Unity and Engagement Center, an advisor for the Study Abroad program and a program assistant for SASC (Student Academic Success Center). She holds an B.A. in World Arts & Cultures and Women’s Studies from UCLA and a masters in Women’s Studies from Ohio State University. She is passionate about promoting gender equity, diversity and multiculturalism and is excited to bring that passion to her work at NCWIT. Her other passions are being a mother to her two young daughters, teaching Hawaiian and Polynesian dance, enjoying the outdoors and creating culinary delights.
