Dr. Michael Kimmel is an American sociologist, specializing in gender studies. He holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the Stony Brook University in New York and is the founder and editor of the academic journal Men and Masculinities. Michael is a spokesperson of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism (NOMAS). He is considered a leading figure in the academic subfield of men’s studies.
