Assessing Readiness & Opportunities to Plan Impactful Change with NCWIT’s TIJ-UP Platform

Introduction

Have you ever felt ready to make meaningful change within your department or academic program—but are unsure where to begin? Effective, sustainable change in higher education starts with a clear understanding of your current context. Before new initiatives can take root, departments need a shared picture of what’s working, where gaps exist, and what opportunities are most ripe for action.

In this course, you’ll explore how the NCWIT Tech Inclusion JourneyTM for Undergraduate Programs (TIJ-UP) can help your departmental (or program) change team assess readiness and identify strategic opportunities for impactful, system-level change. Through a guided walkthrough of the TIJ-UP platform, you’ll learn how to examine your program through a systemic lens, engage colleagues in structured reflection, and generate actionable insights that support intentional planning. You’ll also gain access to practical tools, reports, and resources designed to help your team move from assessment to informed action.
