Anna is the President of Shades of Success, a Boston-based talent development organization that partners with professional women, helping them become effective team members, mentors and leaders. Using a unique methodology that combines assessment, skill development, experiential learning and coaching, Shades of Success helps clients navigate change and maximize their impact through the exploration and understanding of micro behaviors.       

Anna is the author of the forthcoming book, Managing Micro Inequities: Small Actions, Big Impact, in which she breaks down the topic of micro inequities—also known as micro aggressions—and suggests techniques to effectively and sustainably minimize them.

Anna has conducted workshops at EMC Corporation, The Boston Globe, Harvard University, Babson College, the Center for Women and Enterprise, in addition to other academic and corporate venues. In addition, she has coached and consulted with senior executives at PNC, Freddie Mac, Discover, Concur, Kaiser Permanente, Grant Thornton, Target and other global companies. Most recently, Anna co-facilitated a workshop about micro messages and their impact in the workplace at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Anna’s insights on diversity and leadership have been published in El Planeta, Color Magazine, Fox News, The Huffington Post and The Diversity Factor. In 2006, Anna’s editorial commentary on immigration and education was awarded national recognition at the First National Ethnic Media Awards in Washington D.C.  She is a former editorial board member of New England’s Spanish language newspaper, El Planeta. In 2010, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs recognized Anna as a Distinguished Leader.

The first in her family to graduate from college, Anna earned a Master’s degree at Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on adult and leadership development. She received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the F. W. Olin School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor’s of Science from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
