Solutions Architect

Melissa currently serves as NCWIT’s Solutions Architect and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, SuiteCRM, by ensuring that all data remains consistent across the platform, is clearly defined, and is accessible to users in a form that suits their needs. Our large-scale database tracks all information relating to our member organizations and their engagement, making it a critical tool in maintaining and evaluating NCWIT’s efforts toward increase young women’s visibility and representation within the world of IT. Along with assisting with ongoing planning and development of the database, she also works to troubleshoot and solve issues on behalf of NCWIT’s site and portal users.

She attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, as well as a minor in Technology, Arts, & Media (TAM). While she was in school, Melissa worked as a student assistant and in her previous role she worked as NCWIT’s Fulfillment & C4C Program Coordinator, where she primarily managed the distribution of our resources. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outside and experimenting with different baking recipes, considering cookies to be her specialty.
