Joe McBreen is the Assistant Superintendent of Innovation for St. Vrain Valley Schools in Colorado, where he leads the integration of emerging technologies into K–12 education. He began his career as a school janitor and rose through the ranks to teacher, coach, administrator, and CTO, reflecting a lifelong commitment to growth and education. A nationally recognized edtech leader, Joe was named 2019 Colorado Ed Tech Leader of the Year and has earned honors from ISTE and CoSN. He holds certifications in AWS, IBM, Cisco, and AI. He founded the world’s first high school drone performance team and serves on the Elevate Quantum Workforce Collaborative Board, helping advance K–12 quantum readiness. Joe is a K-12 thought leader at the intersection of innovation, leadership, AI, and quantum, focused on preparing students for a rapidly changing future.
