Counselors for Computing

NCWIT Counselors for Computing (C4C) is the only professional development program for school counselors in the US focused entirely on computing and inclusion. C4C has trained more than 15,000 school counselors with a potential to reach more than 7 million students.

Programs / AspireIT

Since 2013, more than 12,000 girls have received an estimated 362,000 instruction hours through 565 AspireIT programs in 43 states — many of whom did not have prior computing experience. And, 75 percent of participants express interest in taking a future computing class.

NCWIT programs inspire and encourage individuals of all backgrounds, equip K-12 and higher education influencers with the necessary knowledge and resources to guide students, and foster virtual and in-person communities at local, regional, and national levels. Participate in a program to raise awareness, increase knowledge, and empower action year round.

Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Collegiate Award

The AiC Collegiate Award honors the outstanding computing accomplishments of undergraduate and graduate women, genderqueer, and non-binary students.

Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Educator Award

The AiC Educator Award identifies exemplary formal and informal educators who play a pivotal role in encouraging 9th-12th grade women, genderqueer, and non-binary students to explore their interests in computing and technology.

Aspirations in Computing (AiC) High School Award

AiC Award Recognitions offer awards that honor aspirations, abilities, technical accomplishments, impact, and influential guidance.

Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Impact Award

The AiC Impact Award honors AiC Community members for their incredible efforts to create opportunities and grow interest in computing and technology through computing-related events and community groups.
