As we work to engage more students in engineering and tech education, we want to thank you for your interest in applying for the Fall Educator Professional Development with NCWIT and CU Boulder. This is a unique opportunity, and we are excited to bring together STEM educators and counselors to bridge the gap in K-12 STEM education.

Date: October 9 | 8:30am to 4:30pm MT and October 10th | 8:30am to 1:30pm (times subject to change)

Location: University of Colorado, Boulder | Boulder, CO

In an effort to widen student inclusion in STEM, during this professional development you will:

  • Align academic planning and career readiness with technical content knowledge to ensure students are prepared for workforce readiness. 
  • Collaborate with other educator roles to enhance school culture and improve cross-departmental communication. 
  • Connect Engineering and Tech curriculum with real-world careers by focusing on skills built while making lessons more engaging and meaningful for students.
  • Develop a shared strategy that links career advising with engineering and tech skills to ensure no student falls through the cracks.

Each application will be independently reviewed by members of the NCWIT team. Applications will be evaluated by a scoring rubric. The intention is to select educators who will bring a variety of perspectives, experiences, and regional insights from Colorado, reflecting different backgrounds and communities
