The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients earn cool prizes and gadgets, as well as access to scholarships, internships, and a community of like-minded, technical young women. Girls at all levels are encouraged to apply: we recognize aspirations as well as accomplishments!
Eligibility
The Award is open to any U.S. female in high school (grades 9-12). Applications are being accepted now through 11:59 PM ET on October 31, 2013.
Prizes
National Award Winners receive:
- $500 in cash
- a laptop computer
- a trip to attend the Bank of America Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 15, 2014
- an engraved Award for both the student and her school
- networking opportunities with Bank of America employees
- (NEW!) Brad Feld, a member of NCWIT’s Board of Directors, and Amy Batchelor, will give a $1,000 scholarship to each 2014 National Award Winner. Read Brad’s blog entry for more information.
