The Google 2008 Anita Borg Scholarship

Are you a senior undergrad or a graduate student studying computer science? Are you passionate about your work, and using computing to make the world a better place? How about a $10,000 scholarship from Google to encourage you?

The Google 2008 Anita Borg Scholarship is designed to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders. Named for Dr. Anita Borg (1949 – 2003), founder of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (an NCWIT partner) and a tireless advocate for the importance of women’s contributions to technology and computing, the scholarship awards winners $10,000 for the 2008-2009 academic year, as well as a trip to Google HQ in Mountain View, California.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, February 1, 2008.
