The Google 2008 Anita Borg Scholarship is designed to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders. Named for Dr. Anita Borg (1949 – 2003), founder of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (an NCWIT partner) and a tireless advocate for the importance of women’s contributions to technology and computing, the scholarship awards winners $10,000 for the 2008-2009 academic year, as well as a trip to Google HQ in Mountain View, California.
The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, February 1, 2008.
