Executive President

Alicia A. Lebrija Hirschfeld is Executive President of Fundación Televisa A.C.1 and member of the Board of Directors of Televisa Foundation. Her professional career began in the academic sector as a Professor of Economics and later as Dean of the School of International Relations at ITAM, one of Mexico’s leading private universities.

In 2000, she was invited to join Fundación Televisa as the Director of Education. Among the education programs she has developed is the universal values campaign, “Tienes el Valor o Te Vale”; the scholarship trust, Bécalos, established together with the Mexican banks enabling more than 90,000 students to continue their studies; and a teacher training program, “Formando Formadores”, that has benefited more than 100,000 public school principals and teachers. She also developed a technology for education programs in public schools covering geography, history, and reading contests, among others. In late 2011, she became Executive President of Fundación Televisa, a position in which she now oversees the educational, cultural, environmental, nutritional, health and housing efforts of Fundación.

Alicia also developed Televisa Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps Latinos in the United States through innovative cultural and educational programs. Alicia is a board member of Nacional Monte de Piedad. She was recently part of a ranking by Grupo Expansion (2012) as one of the 100 most powerful women in business in México.

She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from ITAM University and a master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law And Diplomacy at Tufts University.
