NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Recognitions Program Manager

As program manager, Erika is responsible for planning and implementation of the Aspirations award recognition programs, including the Award for Aspirations in Computing, the NCWIT Collegiate Award, and the NCWIT Educator Award.

Erika has a strong passion for supporting communities that have historically been marginalized. She has over six years of experience working in the field of educational equity, cultivating partnerships and leading program management. Most recently, she managed a national computer science fellowship at Teach For America to expand access to a quality computer science education for all students. Erika has also been an active advocate for gender equity. She worked for UN Women in New York, where she liaised with UN country offices around the world to monitor progress toward repealing discriminatory laws that hinder women’s development. Erika holds a BA in Political Science from Pitzer College and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. She enjoys running, hiking, and considers herself a “foodie.”
